“Percussion Pals” is a program I’ve developed to support early childhood education (ECE) and cognitive development. The program runs in small groups of 8 to 10 children, with five engaging sessions conducted within an hour to an hour and a half. These sessions are designed not only to explore rhythm and music but also to stimulate brain activity and enhance executive functioning skills.

This film wasn’t just entertainment; it was a revelation. At the time, I was living in the small town of Liberty City, Texas, known locally as Sabine. I was part of a humble percussion section of three, dreaming of being on a grand Drumline—a whole different world, a different beast altogether.
